Katie Mack is an ALACE certified doula who works in both home and hospital settings. She is the mother of two boys, Collin and Noah. They live in South St. Louis where they enjoy a close-knit community and lots of big meals with their friends and family. Katie's strengths as a doula include personal experience with yoga, alternative medicine, and massage and self-development courses. She is very dedicated to her spiritual growth and uses practices such as art, meditation, journaling and time to nurture herself. Katie is able as a doula to bring a strong sense of acceptance and flexibility to a birthing environment and consistently stretches herself to have no expectations about what birth will bring, and to cherish and support in every possible way the mother and family's vision for their ideal birth. She is passionate and confident in implementing comfort measures such as positioning, touch, hot and cold therapies, aromatherapy, acupressure, visualization, and vocalization to assist finding each mother's unique way through her birth. She is highly intuitive and comfortable with the wide range of emotions that come with the birth of a child.
