My background is in physical therapy and massage, therefore I was drawn to Bodyworkers Association for the Birthing Year (B.A.B.Y.) as my means of certification.
I have always had a passion for birthing. Volunteering to attend the births of family members and friends for the past 20+ years. I am trained in the Birthing From Within philosophy, embracing birth as a rite of passage from maiden to motherhood. While I support birthing with as few interventions as possible, I encourage moms to keep in mind that the birth plan written today is based on assumptions. The unknown factors of her own labor are yet to unfold. With good preparation, awareness and openness, I believe a woman's birth experience can be one of confidence based on trusting her body's ability to bring forth life, and remembering the countless generations of women who have birthed before her.

I have back-up doulas, for emergencies or illness.
