I usually take 2 clients per month. If I am booked for the month that you are due, I will help you find another doula who would support the choices you are making for your upcoming birth.

    Here's more about my qualifications/experience:

I was trained as a doula at Barnes hospital in 1999 and worked there for one year.  I have also assisted birthing women in their homes.  My own three children were born at home-the first with great difficulty and ultimately triumph, and the next 2 with speed and ease.  I have been a La Leche League Leader since 2003, helping many mothers initiate and continue breastfeeding.  I am also a nurse with a bachelors degree from St. Louis University.

         I am a birth doula, attending women in the hospital and at home.  I meet with clients a minimum of 2 times during pregnancy and make myself available after the birth for consultation on breastfeeding and general care of new mothers and babies.  I respect the needs and wishes of each individual mother to whom I give care.  I am present for the birthing mother and her partner in any setting, offering emotional support, hands-on help, privacy, suggestions, compassion and flexibility.  Best wishes to you and your family!
