I founded my business in 2020 in Saint Louis, Missouri, and consider myself blessed to have found such a fulfilling career. I love working with expectant mothers and their families to help them navigate the birth and labor process. I look at each new birth as a unique learning experience and in return I provide mothers with the encouragement and motivation they need.
As a birth doula, I accompany women in labor to help ensure a safe and satisfying birth experience. I have completed training approved by DONA International and have the following experiences: patience, emotional support, respect, reliability, passion, providing comfort, encouragement, and a nurturing nature. I also draw on my professional training, knowledge and experience to provide emotional support, physical comfort and, a voice of reckoning as needed. I provide communication with staff to make sure that you have the information you need to make informed decisions as they arise in labor. I can provide reassurance and perspective to you and your partner, make suggestions for the labor progress, and help with relaxation, soothing touch, positioning and other techniques for comfort. I am independent and self employed. As your doula, I am working for you, not your caregiver or the hospital. My goal is to give you and your family the attention and knowledge you need to make informed and comfortable decisions about your pregnancy and labor.
